Hi! I'm Cheri

I’ve been a hairstylist for over 30 years, and I know what it feels like to love styling… and still feel intimidated by updos.

For most of my career, I focused on cut and color, taking the occasional wedding on the side. I never felt fully confident in my updo work.

In 2020, I decided to change that.

I invested in education, practiced intentionally, and fully stepped into bridal styling. Over the last five years, I’ve worked exclusively with brides, continued learning, and pushed myself by entering industry competitions where I’ve received multiple placements, including the 2023 Behind the Ponytail Textured Styling Award and recognition as a Behind the Chair and Modern Salon Top 100 artist.

Not because I had it all figured out—but because I didn’t, and I was determined to.

Today, I help stylists build confidence through foundational styling skills and show them the endless possibilities beyond the salon chair—from bridal to special events and beyond.

I believe hairstylists change lives. When we feel confident in our skills, we help our clients feel confident too. That ripple effect truly makes the world brighter.

I was a burned out stylist behind the chair who wanted more from this industry...more creativity, more flexibility, and more fulfillment.

I fell in LOVE with creating memories for life's biggest moments... especially weddings, and discovered that updo work wasn't just creative

It was Freeing.

Freelance styling opened doors I didn't know were possible.

BUT... I didn't start confident with updo's either.

I built my skill by mastering the foundations first and I learned that it was the key to opening up the door to my confidence and my own personal style.
